The Community Enrichment Committee of the Seaside Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce an Open Call for Artists to submit their work for an upcoming semi-permanent public art installation: TRAC – Trash Receptacle Art Campaign. What exactly does public art do for a community and why participate?

Public art plays a powerful role in enriching our community, both visually and culturally and is accessible to everyone, regardless of age, income, or background. Public art is a valuable tool for cultural expression and community development. It not only enriches the visual environment but also strengthens the emotional and social bonds that tie a community together. Here are several ways public art benefits our Seaside community:

  • Fosters a Sense of Identity and Pride – Who are we?
  • Beautifies Public Spaces – Transform the ordinary into extraordinary!
  • Promotes Inclusivity and Diversity – Tell your story!
  • Stimulates Economic Development – Become a landmark!
  • Enhances Well-Being and Mental Health – Increase happiness & calm!

About the Exhibition:

TRAC seeks to present innovative original work that represents what Seaside means to you. We invite artists working in all media, including painting, photography, digital art, etc. to submit their work digitally for consideration. Note: Artworks and locations may be changed periodically without notice due to weather, etc.
